Downers North 9, York 3: Kendall Ryndak and Sarah Anderson hit two homers apiece for No. 2 Downers North (18-2, 5-1 West Suburban Silver) against the Dukes.
Amundsen 6, Prosser 4: Denisse Aldana went 2-for-4 with a three-run triple and four RBI for Amundsen (14-7, 10-1 Blue-North). Pitcher Brea Henderson picked up the victory.
Andrew 11, Thornton 1: Jenna Lenza went 2-for-2 with a double for Andrew (15-7).
Barrington 6, Hersey 1: Kiley Dolezal (14-6) threw a five-hitter for the Fillies (18-9, 6-3 Mid-Suburban West). Kiersten Tinkoff and Liz Owen both finished 2-for-4.
DeKalb 7, Rochelle 3: Katie Kowalski notched the win for DeKalb.
Downers South 8, Leyden 5: Jenny Nichols (10-0) remained unbeaten giving up four runs and striking out five in 5 2/3 innings for Downers South (17-5, 7-0 West Suburban Gold). Marissa Mersch went 3-for-4 with a homer and two RBI while Katy LaCivita had four hits and scored two runs. Danielle Prezzo (2-for-4, home run) and Alisha Bozek (2-for-4, three RBI, run) also contributed for the Mustangs.
Evanston 9, Taft 8: Allie Nortz had two hits and drove in three runs for the Wildkits. Shakyra Everett went 2-for-3 with two runs.
Evergreen Park 22, Oak Lawn 2: Teresa Ziebarth was perfect at the plate, finishing 5-for-5 with two doubles, three RBI and five runs for Evergreen Park (14-10, 11-5 South Suburban Red). Erin Crane went 3-for-5 with three RBI and four runs. Michelle Putlak yielded three hits and struck out six in five innings for the win.
Farragut 18, Sullivan 12: Maribel Flores earned the win for the Admirals (5-3).
Glenbrook South 4, Stevenson 2: Maddy Stark tallied two singles and a triple for Glenbrook South (14-8).
Huntley 6, McHenry 1: Taylor Larson (9-8) scattered seven hits and struck out two in a complete-game effort for Huntley (11-10). Larson also went 3-for-4 with a double and RBI at the plate. Brittany Koss added a double and two runs scored.
IMSA 11, Rockford Christian Life 0: Melissa Perkins (5-6) gave up no hits and fanned 11 in five innings of work for IMSA (6-6, 4-2 Northeastern Athletic). C.C. Countryman went 2-for-3 with two runs while Ashley Smith and Jenn Bailey both finished 2-for-2 with two runs scored.
Joliet Catholic 12, Nazareth 2: Haley Gerl was the hitting star for the Hilltoppers with a pair of triples, a double, two RBI and four runs.
Libertyville 15, Round Lake 0: Andie Grant cruised to victory allowing no hits and striking out six. Lauren Vogg led the Libertyville offense with two hits and two runs.
Lincoln-Way Central 7, Bolingbrook 1: Jamie Haubenreiser blasted a three-run home run and Colleen Hansen went 4-for-4 for the Lincoln-Way Central. Gabbie Boerema added a pair of hits while Nicole Washon yielded five hits and fanned six for a complete-game victory.
Lincoln-Way North 6, Bradley 2: Kirsten Iversen (8-3) allowed three hits and struck out five in a complete-game effort. Kelsi Dilger went 2-for-4 with an RBI for Lincoln-Way North (13-8, 6-3 SouthWest Suburban Red).
Lisle 3-5, Seneca 0-3: Bekka Houda held Seneca to one hit and struck out 13 in a dominant Game 1 performance. MacKenzie Buchelt (2-for-3, double, run) and Maggie Carrigan (1-for-3, RBI) sparked enough scoring for Lisle (17-2, 9-2 Interstate Eight North) in the opener. In Game 2, Houda (12-1) eanred another victory while Buchelt went 2-for-3 with a home run and two RBI.
Manteno 14, Plano 4: Haley Hatalla (10-2) allowed two runs and posted six strikeouts to notch the victory for Manteno (19-3). Becky Zielinski had a huge day at the plate with two home runs, five RBI and three runs.
Mother McAuley 10, Young 2: The Mighty Macs (21-5) cruised past Young as Erin O’Donnell went 3-for-3 with a triple and two RBI.
Naperville North 8, Glenbard East 6: Tara Degl’Innocenti went 3-for-4 with a homer, a pair of RBI and three runs for the Huskies (8-8, 3-5 DuPage Valley).
New Trier 11, Niles West 0: Chelsea Delaney’s grand slam and Ryan Lee’s three-run homer powered New Trier (14-6) to a shutout victory.
Orr 14, Senn 0: Tatiana Eilers finished 3-for-3 with a double to spark Orr (12-1, 8-0 Orange). Starter Tyra Williams struck out six in a game-winning performance.
Payton 5, Roosevelt 3: Maya Rodriguez tallied 17 strikeouts in an impressive complete-game showing for Payton (8-5). Killian Madden drove in two runs for the Grizzlies.
Ridgewood 6, Timothy Christian 4: Katie Serpico threw a complete game and hit a home run to lead the Rebels (11-7, 5-5 Metro Suburban). Mallor McCormick added two hits including the game-winning RBI.
Riverside-Brookfield 15, Queen of Peace 4: Molly Ely went 3-for-4 with three RBI for the Bulldogs, who have won 11 of their last 12 games. Rachel Denneny gave up four hits, struck out two and walked none to earn the win.
UIC Prep 30, Rowe-Clark 1: Luz Velve had four hits and drove in four runs for UIC Prep. Carolina Leanos picked up the win.
Uplift 23, Chicago Math & Science 3: Takira Carothers picked up the win for Uplift (8-1).
