Lockport sophomore Amanda Moran was the only individual to win two events at Saturday’s Barrington Invitational, but the meet featured three new pool records set in two relays and in the 100-yard freestyle.

Moran finished first in the 100 butterfly (59.81) and 100 backstroke (59.20) for the Porters, who placed fifth (179).

Barrington senior Erika Elliott won the 100 freestyle in a pool-record 52.14, beating the previous pool record of 52.57 set by Barrington’s Angela Yu in 2004.

Meet champion Loyola (338) established a pool record in the final event, the 400 free relay (3:31.55) with Claire Rushin, Maddie Jardeleza, Evan Swenson and Mallory Remick. The relay bettered the previous record of 3:33.22 set by Lake Forest in 2004.

“We swam fast, but we put an exclamation [on the meet] on the 400,” Loyola coach Mike Hengelmann said. “We never put them together [before]. I knew they were our strongest four. In other meets, we have mixed and matched. I thought at this point of the season, I thought those four needed to be put together.”

Fenwick’s winning 200 free relay (1:37.50) of Mimi Schneider, Cara Borkovec, Haley Wickham and Maureen Barron won, breaking the pool record from Lake Forest in 2004 of 1:37.70.
