Barrington d. Stevenson 25-14, 25-23: Julia Thompson had 10 kills for Barrington. Olivia Szuszkiewicz had eight kills and 12 digs.
Carmel d. Lake Zurich 25-18, 25-23: Taylor Pippen (six kills, two aces), Janelle Dewald (10 assists), Maura Zawaski (10 digs) and Megan Mowery (nine digs) led Carmel to the win.
De La Salle d. Ag. Science 25-17, 25-16: Arianna Hayden had three kills and two blocks. Bridget White had three kills and Anita Lopez helped out with 11 assists for De La Salle (1-0).
Grant d. Waukegan 25-16, 25-12: Grant was led by Mallory Gizowski (four kills), Scottley Sandnes (six aces) and Jamie Reiser (four aces, six assists).
Hoffman Estates d. Larkin 25-19, 25-19: Becca Stoczynski totaled four kills and an ace for Hoffman Estates.
Jones d. Westinghouse 25-12, 25-22: Kathleen Kurtenbach (10 kills, six digs) and Frances McDondald (three kills, two assists) helped lead Jones (1-0) to victory.
Lincoln Park d. Chicago Academy 25-11, 25-0: Mercedes Serrano totaled 25 aces for Lincoln Park (1-0, 1-0 Red-North).
Loyola d. Prospect 25-17, 19-25, 25-20: Anna Pontarelli (eight kills, 13 digs), Kaitlin Mohr (seven kills, four blocks) and Grace Kane (16 digs) fueled Loyola (1-0).
Metea Valley d. Joliet West 25-16, 25-10: Jessica Boddy had nine kills. Lexie Lobdell and Brianne Honda both had five kills.
Ridgewood d. Walther Lutheran 25-11, 25-5: Ridgewood was led by Mallory McCormack (six kills, four digs), Monika Stepkowski (five kills, two aces), Megi Aliaj (five aces) and Jessica Rzewnicki (seven assists).
St. Ignatius d. Oak Park-River Forest 25-14, 25-19: Rachele Lock had eight kills and Camille Evans had five.
Schurz d. Mather 25-11, 25-9: Ilona Senkiv (eight aces, 11 assists), Tahlia Salmeron (two kills, eight aces) and Jazmin Gonzalez (three kills, three aces) all contributed to the Schurz (1-0, 1-0 Red-North) win.
Somonauk d. Plano 25-20, 25-20: Aleesha Zeko had 11 kills, Juliana Ciaglia had four assists and Kayla Jackson had four digs.
T.F. South d. Lincoln-Way North 25-23, 25-20: Nicole Gill had nine kills and Ashtyn Kapovich had nine assists along with four aces. Teammate Danijela Jerkan added seven blocks for T.F. South (1-0).
York d. St. Charles North 25-13, 25-21: Melissa Deatsch (six kills, four aces), Morgan Semmelhack (six kills, two aces), Sam Schrenker (six kills), Caroline Rose (six kills) and Katie Gallagher (18 assists) showed up big in the York win.
