Young 72, Crane 43: The No. 1 Dolphins looked impressive in their season opener as Linnae Harper had 20 points, 10 rebounds and five steals. Alexis Lloyd scored 19 points and Janee Thompson added 17 points.

Hillcrest 82, Reavis 29: No. 3 Hillcrest (6-0, 1-0 South Suburban) was led by Shannise Heady (16 points) and Dana Gettis (15 points).

Morgan Park 79, Harlan 41: The No. 12 Mustangs proved too much for Harlan as Kierra Graves scored 15 points and Kendyl Nunn tallied 14 points.

Niles West 68, Waukegan 37: Jewell Loyd had another huge night scoring 35 points, grabbing 10 rebounds and adding eight steals for No. 16 Niles West (8-0, 1-0 Central Suburban South). Dashae Shumate chipped in nine points.

St. Joseph 48, Regina 28: The No. 23 Chargers (5-1, 1-0) were led by Briya Wilborn (13 points) and Donna Koerber (10 points).

Brooks 54, Vocational 10: Koriah Nichols recorded a double-double with 15 points and 13 rebounds to spark Brooks (5-2, 1-0 Windy City South) in its conference opener. Janeya Rivers (10 points), Dayneeia Rivers (10 points, 10 rebounds) and Karmien Wesley (eight points, eight steals) also played well for the Eagles.

Clemente 46, Austin 26: Ayana Freeman (16 points) and Sydali Canderon (13 points) led the Wildcats (3-0) offensively.

Coal City 48, Sandwich 45: Britta Spelde and Emily Halliday netted 17 points and 15 points, respectively, as the Coalers edged the Indians.

Collins 38, Little Village 13: The Trojans (3-2) rolled behind Symone Hightower's 13 points and 17 boards. Cierra Robinson scored 17 points and Quatricia Hamilton had six points and 10 steals.

Corliss 58, Washington 23: Dominique Mickels scored a game-high 23 points and Juanita Tompkins chipped in 11 points.

Douglass 48, Farragut 12: Douglass (3-1) overwhelmed the Admirals as Denisha Allen recorded 16 points, 12 rebounds and five steals. Darriane Saradia added 10 points.

Dwight 55, Manteno 39: Hayley Sparrow led Dwight (2-4, 1-1 Interstate Eight) with nine points and Lauren Seanard had eight points.

Ellison 55, Christ the King 34: Shanice Dawson (12 points, seven rebounds, six steals) and Diamond Taylor (12 points, five rebounds, four assists) starred for victorious Ellison (5-3, 2-0 Chicago Prep).

Gordon Tech 57, St. Scholastica 35: The Rams' moved to 4-1 as Melanie Claudio filled the stat sheet with 20 points, 16 rebounds and five blocks.

Guerin 51, Chicago Christian 49, OT: Sara Brodner and Jackie Barnicki scored 14 points apiece for the Gators (4-0, 1-0 Suburban Christian Gold). Cara Yacobucci added 13 points.

Harper 31, Carver 23: LaQuesha Carter scored 15 points for Harper (3-0).

Homewood-Flossmoor 65, Lincoln-Way North 53: Danielle Woolfolk exploded for 26 points as the Vikings (6-2) held off the Phoenix.

Hope Academy 45, Chicagoland Jewish 36: Khadijat Dosumme netted 18 points and Tanner Muzikowski had nine points for Hope Academy (4-3, 4-3 Chicago Prep).

Ida Crown 45, Northtown 18: Courtney Rosenfield paced the Aces (6-2, 1-1 Chicago Prep).

Lincoln-Way West 46, Tinley Park 43: Mandy Hozzian had 14 points for Lincoln-Way West (3-2).

Lindblom 47, Ag. Science 35: Elizabeth Toye and Effina Jackson scored 15 points and 10 points, respecitvely, for the Eagles (6-3, 3-0 Chicago South).

Longwood 50, South Shore 43: Khadijah Taylor dominated South Shore by putting up 31 points and grabbing 10 rebounds. Tavreea McCray totaled 14 points and eight steals in a supporting role.

Oak Forest 46, Argo 32: Katie Swanson starred offensively with 20 points for Oak Forest (2-4, 1-0 South Suburban Blue).

Powerhouse 49, Manley 47: Persephanie Allen's 25 points and five rebounds paved the way for Powerhouse (4-3, 3-0 Metro West). Natasha Pierce contributed 14 points and six rebounds.

Providence 53, Lincoln-Way Central 32: Shermulis Alex scored 19 points for the Celtics. Glenn Cassidy contributed 15 points and six rebounds.

Resurrection 52, Carmel 51: Bre Sobotka's 13 points led Resurrection (5-3) past the Corsairs.

Rich East 77, Crete-Monee 66: Danielle King poured in 26 points and had three steals for Rich East. Makeba Elliot also had a huge game with 24 points, six boards and three steals.

Richards 59, Bremen 29: Brianna LeBeau (11 points) and Nicole Ellement (10 points) starred for Richards (4-1, 1-0 South Suburban Red).

St. Francis de Sales 56, St, Benedict 14: Lyric Love led the Spartans (4-2, 1-0 GCAC White) with 15 points. Francesca Gil tallied 13 points.

Seneca 48, Reed-Custer 24: Mallory Misener's 10 points and Danielle Hauch's nine points kept Seneca (6-0) on a roll.

Seton 57, Mt. Assisi 52: Tiffany Ellis led the Sting (5-2, 1-0 GCAC White) with 13 points.

Somonauk 57, Indian Creek 23: The Bobcats won their first game as Lauren Brummel had 20 points and eight boards. Allison Humes also led Somonauk with 14 points and four steals.

Stevenson 40, Zion-Benton 39: Katie Batman keyed the Patriots' close win with 12 points and 13 rebounds.

T.F. North 77, Evergreen Park 25: Schnela Battle had a big game putting up 18 points, seven rebounds and four assists for the Meteors (2-4, 1-0 South Suburban).

Tilden 43, Bronzeville 10: D.J. Hamilton had 16 points, 11 rebounds and four steals to power the Blue Devils past Bronzeville. Keisha O'Neil turned in a solid all-court effort as well with 11 points, eight boards and five steals.

Uplift 38, Chicago Math & Science Academy 23: Hanh Huynh had 15 points and eight assists for Uplift (5-2).Takira Carrothers was also active snaring 12 rebounds and and recording seven steals.

Vernon Hills 68, Round Lake 24: The Cougars' tandem of Sydney Smith (19 points, 10 rebounds, four steals) and Meri Bennett-Swanson (17 points, 12 rebounds) triggered the convincing win. Brie Bahlmann also reached double figures with 10 points.

Westmont 44, Plano 29: Jackie Zakhem scored 12 points for the Sentinels.
