Football: Prep Bowl back at Soldier Field

The 78th Prep Bowl will be at Soldier Field after all.

The Public League previously announced the game between Simeon and Mount Carmel, scheduled for noon Friday, would be played at Gately Stadium because of budget issues.

But a Public League source confirmed on Thursday that the game would be at its traditional location. All but one previous Prep Bowl had been played at Soldier Field; the 2002 game was moved to Hanson Stadium because of renovation at the lakefront facility.
