Luke Bernardi caught a pair of first-half touchdown passes and Jordan Beck and Owen Williams had TD runs as host Lake Forest (6-1 overall, 4-0 NSC Lake) beat Warren 27-19 on Thursday in a key North Suburban Conference Lake Division football game.

Bernardi caught a nine-yard touchdown pass from Beck in the first quarter and a 21-yard touchdown pass from backup quarterback Andrew Clifford period after Beck hurt his elbow. He didn’t play the rest of the game.

Warren (3-5 overall, 2-1 in the league) trailed 27-7 at halftime. They got within eight points on a TD pass from Adam Reuss to Mitch Munda and a 22-yard TD run by Jay Malone. Down 27-19, Warren drove from midfield to the Lake Forest 37 but Reuss threw a pitck with 1:24 left to end the game.
