Ruling on Julian’s Hurley expected Monday

A ruling on the eligibility of Julian quarterback DaeShaun Hurley is expected on Monday, according to Public League director of sports administration Calvin Davis.
Hurley transferred from Morgan Park to Julian before this season, but he has not played because Morgan Park did not sign off on the move. A hearing on the transfer was held on Thursday and Davis said on Friday that he expected to rule on the transfer on Monday.
Julian is 1-1 without Hurley, losing to Robeson in its opener and beating Hope last week. The Jaguars play at Hales Saturday afternoon.
Hurley, a 6-foot-1, 180-pounder, is being recruited by a number of major-college programs, including Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Purdue, Arizona and West Virginia.
