Simeon quarterback Robert Gregory has committed to Arkansas, according to a source close to the Wolverines program.
Gregory, who accounted for 43 touchdowns as a passer and runner last season, also had scholarship offers from Illinois and Minnesota among other schools. He is expected tp make a formal announcement Tuesday. The commitment also was reported by multiple Internet outlets.
The 6-foot-4, 200-pounder passed for 153 yards and two touchdowns and ran for 55 more yards in the Wolverines’ season-opening loss to Mount Carmel last Friday.
Gregory is one of several Simeon players expected to sign Division I letters of intent. Among the others are offensive lineman Jordan Diamond, linebacker Shaquille Joyner and defensive back Thomas Burton.
