Saturday's football roundup

Brooks 40, Lindblom 14: Jonathan Stelly had 21 carries for 159 yards and three touchdowns to lead Brooks (1-0). Stelly had touchdown runs of six, 18 and 19 yards.

Gage Park 42, Crane 6: Frank Massallo had six carries for 48 yards and two touchdowns while quarterback Kevin Wims was 4-for-10 for 60 yards to lead Gage Park. Wims also had three carries for 60 yards and a touchdown. Rashied Treadway led the Gage Park defense with four sacks and five tackles.

Guerin 45, St. Francis de Sales 8: Tommy Kelly passed for 178 yards and three touchdowns while running back Justin Williams rushed for 175 yards and three more scores for the Gators.

Lake Forest Academy 41, St. John's Northwestern (Wi.) 12: Chad Davis had four touchdowns and Myron Ford also had a touchdown catch and an 85-yard kickoff return for a touchdown for Lake Forest Academy.

Loyola 35, Evanston 0: Quarterback Malcolm Weaver threw three touchdown passes in his varsity debut and running back Willie Palivos added touchdown runs of 12 and 11

yards for Loyola. Weaver completed 7 of 15 passes for 122 yards while Palivos stepped in at running back for injured starter Spencer Perry and racked up 151 yards on nine attempts.

Marine 13, Hirsch 0: Odies Nix had a 35-yard touchdown run while teammate Marshon Garner recovered a fumble for a touchdown. Markese Junious had a solid day on defense with two sacks and a forced fumble.

Pritzker 38, Kennedy 6: Darrin Johnson had 11 carries for 88 yards and two touchdowns while Jay Rivera had six carries for 111 yards and two touchdowns for Pritzker (1-0). Abdullah Alghazali had three sacks and eight tackles.

St. Laurence 32, Hales 20: Steve Fiorella carried the ball 15 times on his way to 92 yards and two touchdowns. Fiorella also caught three passes for 100 yards and a touchdown and also returned a kickoff 92 yards for a touchdown.

TEAM Englewood 48, Phillips 20: Derric Watson was 8-for-12 with 112 yards and two touchdowns while Shakeale Taylor rushed 15 times for 200 yards and two touchdowns to pace TEAM Englewood. Anthony Harris also grabbed a 25-yard touchdown catch and Justin Young had two touchdowns. Charles Phillips had 12 tackles and James Williams had three sacks and five tackles to lead the defensive effort.

Thornridge 26, Rich South 0: Mika'il McCall carried the ball 20 times for 112 yards and a touchdown and Derrick Martin threw three touchdown passes to lead Thornridge. Gary Ford caught two touchdown passes (37, 40 yards) and Demetri Johnson also caught a touchdown pass of 35 yards. Kentrell Reese totaled eight tackles and an interception and Devin Davis added seven tackles.

Uplift 41, Roosevelt 0: Jameel Carter had 83 yards rushing while also throwing touchdown passes of 33 and 50 yards for Uplift. Jamal Carter had 10 carries for 75 yards and three touchdowns on the ground for Uplift. Samuel Ogunkoya had two touchdown passes as well.

Vocational 26, Hyde Park 20, OT: Darius Smith had 16 carries for 160 yards and three touchdowns in the Cavliers' overtime win. Chris Brown also added 75 yards on 15 carries while Marcus Morris had five tackles and a sack. James Williams had a fumble recovery and three tackles as well for Vocational.
