Sandburg d. Lincoln-Way North 25-16, 25-15: No. 3 Sandburg (20-3, 6-0 SouthWest Suburban Blue) was led by Kevin Groeper (six kills, two aces), Andrew Muys (six kills), Tommy Carmody (five blocks) and Nick Bendell (20 assists).

Ag. Science d. Corliss 25-12, 25-13: Ag. Science (12-2) was led by Tim Johnson (12 kills) and Pat Sullivan (21 assists, 12 digs).

Brooks d. Simeon 25-15, 25-15: Jesse Nelson (six kills), Josh Medrano (four kills, eight aces), Miguel Vazquez (four kills, 19 assists, five digs) led Brooks.

Carmel d. Highland Park 30-28, 28-26: Michael Fitzgibbons (10 kills), Frankie Cohen (eight kills) and Will Collazo (six kills) powered Carmel (14-11).

Fenwick d. St. Laurence 25-9, 25-21: Jeremy Gruszka totaled four kills and two aces in the Fenwick (6-5) win, while Michael Brosnan added two aces and 10 assists.

Montini d. Cornerstone 25-13, 25-12: Eric Velkme had nine kills for Montini (8-9).

Northside d. Niles West 20-25, 25-20, 25-20: Wesley Morioka totaled 18 kills and six blocks in the win for Northside (16-8). Nikko Simon had eight kills and 10 blocks.

St. Ignatius d. Loyola 25-23, 17-25, 25-23: Peter Ryckbosch totaled seven kills and nine blocks in the win for St. Ignatius (15-10). Brian Fitzpatrick added seven blocks.

Stevenson d. Fremd 25-17, 25-15: Nikola Antonijevic had nine kills and five digs in the win for Stevenson (20-3). Danny Gescheidle had six kills and three digs.
