Downers South d. Andrew 25-21, 25-23: No.4 Downers South (22-3) was led by David Magniello’s five kills.
Brother Rice d. Oak Park-River Forest 19-25, 25-20, 25-20: Dan Weishar (14 kills) and Colin Denny (8 kills) carried Brother Rice (13-10) to the win. Mike Noyes finished with 38 assists.
Maine South d. Waukegan 25-9, 25-9: Mike Unti led Maine South (11-7, 2-2 Central Suburban South) with five kills and Jake Rickter added four kills and three aces. Matt Garvey finished with five aces and two assists.
Metea Valley d. Hinsdale South 26-24, 22-25, 25-22: Martin Krasuki’s 14 kills, two aces, two blocks, and three digs carried Metea Valley to the win. Peter Hebda added six kills and three blocks while Shiv Desai chipped in with five kills and three blocks.
Niles West d. Evanston 25-15, 25-16: Niles West (12-10, 1-2 Central Suburban South) earned the victory thanks to 11 kills by Arben Cuca and seven kills and 19 assists from Patrick O’Connor.
Stevenson d. Lake Zurich 25-7, 25-20: Nikola Antonijevic powered Stevenson (18-3) to the win with six kills, a block, and 11 digs. Mitch Robinson and Aaron Appelbaum chipped in with four kills each and Jonah May added 15 assists. Zachary Kravits finished with 10 assists.
Vernon Hills d. Libertyville 25-14, 25-14: Thomas Robinson powered Vernon Hills(14-4) to the win with four kills and four digs. Justin Opitz added 19 assists.
Warren d. Lake Forest 25-22, 25-19: Dillon Schaefer’s nine kills and Eduard Ciobanu’s eight kills led Warren (13-4, 4-0 North Suburban Lake) to the win. Tyler Smith helped the cause with 23 assists and King Gorospe added 10 digs.
Zion-Benton d. Lakes 28-26, 25-23: Matt Isaacs (five kills) and Jorge Wence (18 assists, five digs) led Zion-Benton (9-7) to the win.
