Lake Park d. Geneva 25-13, 25-8: Matt Ciaglia and Jeremy Mark had five kills each to lift No. 7 Lake Park (12-2). Mick Dickerson had four kills, and Brian Fischer had three kills. Dave Prentis chipped in with 12 assists.

Barrington d. Schaumburg 25-10, 25-18: Matt Logue had eight kills to lead No. 10 Barrington. Tommmy Leonard had seven kills, and Taylor Ganzer added 15 assists.

Andrew d. Homewood-Flossmoor 25-16, 25-19: Paul Bilanzic had nine kills, and Jimmy Boyce had 21 assists for Andrew (9-8).

Brooks d. Bronzeville 25-27, 25-16, 25-14: Danile Medrano had seven kills and seven aces to power Brooks (6-2, 6-2 Green-South). Ahmad Bradshaw had seven kills, and John Mcain had five kills.

Kelvyn Park d. Von Steuben 23-25, 25-9, 25-13: Miguel Zepeda had 14 kills, three blocks and eight digs for Kelvyn Park (12-4, 4-2 Gold). Kevin Munoz added 12 kills, two blocks and 27 assists. Matthew Marquez (nine kills) and Isidro Aleman (six kills) helped the cause too.

Lane d. Amundsen 25-15, 25-10: Uran Kabashi led Lane (5-3, 4-2 Gold) with seven kills. Faris Zahrah had six aces.

Lincoln-Way Central d. Joliet 25-16, 25-12: Alex Severson powered Lincoln-Way Central with seven kills and seven blocks. Sean Blackwood had five kills.

Lincoln-Way West d. Joliet Central 25-18, 25-7: Dave O'Brien led the way for Lincoln-Way West, tallying six kills and three blocks. Alex Root had four kills and five blocks. Shane Brandt had three kills.

Lyons d. Hinsdale 22-25, 25-17, 25-22: Mark Hogan had eight kills and two blocks for Lyons (6-4).

Maine East d. Notre Dame 20-25, 25-19, 25-16: Greg Simienczuk led Maine East (7-3) with 12 kills. Jon Coldea had 30 assists.

Plainfield North D. Plainfield East 25-19, 29-27: Jack Kreiger (six kills) and Matt Guerrieri (two blocks, 19 assists) powered Plainfield North (13-1) in the win.

Providence d. Mount Carmel 30-28, 25-13: Marty Ross led Providence with nine kills and six blocks. Tim Sanders added six kills and eight blocks.

Riverside-Brookfield d. Montini 25-16, 25-17: Ben Bergstrom had six kills and two aces for Riverside-Brookfield (10-4). Gordon Feiseler added four kills and five digs. Elliot Louthen had two aces, 13 assists and seven digs.

St. Rita d. St. Ignatius 25-23, 25-21: In the Catholic Blue, Bobby Gallagher powered St. Rita (9-8, 2-2) with nine kills. Joe Biros had six kills, and Joe Fashingbauer added 21 assists.

Schurz d. Senn 25-16, 25-18: In the Red North, Gustavo Amador powered Schurz (8-4, 8-0) with five kills. Gabriel Sanchez had 17 assists.

South Shore d. Simeon 25-19, 25-12: Maurice Sutton had five kills and four aces for South Shore. James Washington (four kills, three aces, nine assists), Jabari Wright (four kills, three aces) and Jabari Flowers (five aces) powered the team in the win.
