Downers North d. Metea Valley 25-13, 25-20: Jordan Thompson had eight kills, while Greg Petty and JP Tulacks have seven kills each for No. 3 Downers North (2-1).

Naperville North d. Neuqua Valley 25-22, 25-22: Shane totaled nine kills and seven digs for No. 5 Naperville North (1-0). Henry Cheatham had seven kills and Adam Souhrada had six.

Vernon Hills d. Deerfield 25-22, 25-13: Thomas Robinson had 11 kills for No. 6 Vernon Hills (1-1).

Addison Trail d. St. Patrick 25-23, 25-21: Addison Trail (2-0) was led by Mario Rojba (eight kills), Armin Trgo (seven kills), Dan Flores (six kills) and Jack Andrews (24 assists).

Glenbard West d. Montini 25-9, 25-13: Ian Lawson (11 kills), Alex Kahn (eight kills, two aces, two blocks), Adam Lepold (three kills, six blocks), Kevin McGinnis (kill, ace, block, six digs) and Alex Emanuel (26 assists, block, two digs).

Illiana Christian d. Oak Forest 25-21, 25-19: Kyle VanderZee registered seven kills, four blocks and an ace. Troy Eriks had four kills, an ace and one block. Dale Krygier totaled three kills, four blocks and 23 assists.

New Trier d. Libertyville 25-11, 25-20: New Trier (2-0) was led by Bennett Wakenight (seven kills, ace, block), Andrew Gates (seven kills, block), Jesse Solomon (four kills), Eric Smith (four kills) and Eric Kerr (17 assists).

Oak Lawn d. Lemont 25-19, 25-17: Pat McGuinness registered 10 kills, nine digs and three blocks for Oak Lawn (2-0). Samer El-Ramahi had four kills and two blocks, while Dan Stanek added five kills.

Schurz d. Senn 25-22, 25-11: David Gutierez totaled eight kills and Gabriel Sanchez had 21 assists.

South Elgin d. Glenbard North 18-25, 25-22, 26-24: Jake Mendel registered 10 kills, two aces and four digs.
