Crane coach Anderson resigns

Crane boys basketball coach Tim Anderson has resigned and taken an assistant coach position at Texas-Pan American.
"I learned a lot in my time at Crane," Anderson said. "This was just too good of an opportunity to pass up."
Anderson, one of the younger coaches in the Public League, has restored a lot of the luster to the Crane basketball program, which is traditionally one of the strongest programs in the city. The Cougars finished 25-4 last season and have several key players returning.
"[Crane] is loaded," Anderson said. "Whoever takes over definitely has a lot of talent to work with."
Anderson, a Crane graduate, was 61-22 in his three years as head coach. Crane won regionals all three years and made one appearance in the elite eight of the Public League playoffs.
