Saturday’s summer baseball roundup

Oak Lawn 10, Oak Park-River Forest 8: Kyle Smith was 3-for-4 with two doubles, a triple and four RBI to lead the Spartans past the Huskies at the Richards/Reavis North/South Classic. Cody Quillan’s RBI single in the fifth broke an 8-8 tie and put Oak Lawn ahead to stay.

Oak Lawn 7, T.F. South 6: Alec Barnhart’s arm and bat helped the Spartans (6-0) win their second game of the day and complete a 4-0 run in the Richards/Reavis North/South Classic. Barnhart pitched four innings of one-hit relief and also doubled home the go-ahead run in the fifth. Joe Gray was 3-for-4 with two RBI and Bob Kometas went 2-for-2 with two walks, a dohble and an RBI for Oak Lawn. The Spartans also beat St. Ignatius 12-0 and Bolingbrook 7-6 on Friday.
