Friday’s summer baseball roundup

St. Rita 8, Brother Rice 1: Jack Konrath pitched one-hit, shutout ball over six innings as the visiting Mustangs won their summer opener. Peter Cozzie singled home two runs for St. Rita, Pat Healy had an RBI double and Chad Prieto contributed a run-scoring single.
