Plainfield North 12, Romeoville 1: No. 3 Plainfield North (28-1, 20-0 Southwest Prairie) was led by Kyle Palandech (2-for-3, RBI), Pat Cashman (1-for-2, RBI) and Kurt Palandech (1-for-2, RBI).
Glenbrook North 8, Highland Park 0: Sean Thomas pitched a complete game, striking out seven to earn the win for No. 7 Glenbrook North (26-3, 14-2). He also was 2-for-4 at the plate with a grand slam and four RBI.
Nazareth 5, Marist 2: Anthony Baldassano went 2-for-4 with two RBI in the win for No. 8 Nazareth (26-5, 12-4 East Suburban Catholic). Ryan allowed no hits in 3 2/3 innings for the win.
Brother Rice 7, Evergreen Park 1: Garrett O’Neill powered Brother Rice (11-14) with a grand slam, Dominic Albanese went 3-for-3 and Mike Yacko (3-2) was the winning pitcher.
Buffalo Grove 3, Wheeling 2: Winning pitcher Dan Rech (5-4) fanned five for Buffalo Grove (15-15, 10-6 Mid-Suburban East).
Deerfield 10, Niles North 5: Ben Brody went 2-for-4 with four RBI and Brad Holway went 2-for-4 with two RBI in the win for Deerfield (13-15, 9-7 Central Suburban North).
Grant 15, Lake Forest 14: Grant was led by Jake Ring (3-for-5, homer, double, RBI), Jared Helmich (3-for-5, double, three RBI) and Brent Spohr (3-for-4, three RBI).
Hersey 5, Prospect 2: Winning pitcher Trevor Haas struck out four and went 2-for-3 for Hersey (17-13, 10-6 Mid-Suburban East).
Jacobs 12, Grayslake North 11: Jacobs (12-11) was led by Dillon O’ Toole (2-for-5, double, three RBI) and Eric Lonigro (1-for-4, grand slam). Winning pitcher Brett Kale (5-2) went 3-for-4 with a double, two RBI and two runs.
Lakes 14, Zion-Benton 0: Lakes (18-12, 9-3 North Suburban Prairie) was led by Max Dexheimer (2-for-3, double, four RBI), Kyle Noon (2-for-3, homer, three RBI, run) and Jake Brown (2-for-3, two doubles, two RBI, two runs). Paul Kukulka was the winning pitcher.

Plainfield South 7, Plainfield East 4: Tom Vachon went 1-for-3 with a three-run homer for Plainfield South (13-16, 9-11).
Rich Central 14, Kankakee 2: Brandon Fowler fanned 11 in the win for Rich Central (19-5, 12-2 Southland).
Ridgewood 5, Riverside-Brookfield 1: Sean Morris went 2-for-4 with three RBI and Anthony Mruz was the winning pitcher for Ridgewood (13-14, 10-7).
South Elgin 6, Bartlett 0: Chris Munson recorded a complete-game win for South Elgin (21-8) and Jake Buhmann drove in two runs.
