Plainfield North 16, Plainfield Central 9: Evan Whaley crushed a pair of homers and drove in four runs for No. 2 Plainfield North (22-0, 15-0 Southwest Suburban Prairie). Joe Cresta went 2-for-4 with a home run and four RBI and Sean Renzi went 3-for-5, with a home run and three RBI.

St. Rita 7, Oak Lawn 6: Nico Zych (1-1) gave up three hits and struck out two in 2 2/3 scoreless innings for No. 6 St. Rita (21-4). Mike Zunica (2-for-4, two RBI), Stefano Belmonte (3-for-4, RBI), Joe Filomeno (1-for-2, two RBI) and Zack Soria (1-for-2, two RBI) paced the Mustangs offensively.

Glenbrook North 10, Maine East 0: Jason Tomeroy allowed no hits and fanned eight in five innings for No. 8 Glenbrook North (20-2). Michael Moy went 1-for-3 with an RBI and two runs scored.

Leyden 6, York 4: The No. 9 Eagles (21-1) remained red-hot as Carlos Olavarria went 2-for-3 with a home run and two RBI and John Marino finished 2-for-4 with a homer.

Aurora Christian 9, Montini 8: Bobby Kuntzendorf (2-for-4, two RBI) hit the game-winning home run for Aurora Christian (18-6, 9-4 Suburban Christian Blue). Mitch Holtz added a two-run shot and drove in three runs.

Crete-Monee 19, Rich South 0: Mike Wojo went 3-for-5 with two RBI and three runs for Crete-Monee (8-10).

Deerfield 9, Highland Park 5: John Smirles went 3-for-3 highlighted by a two-run homer for Deerfield (7-12). Ben Pineless added two doubles and two RBI.

Downers North 8, Hinsdale Central 7: David Wilk’s three-run homer lifted Downers North over the Red Devils in the West Suburban Silver.

Evanston 6, Maine South 5: The Wildkits (13-8) edged Maine South as Mike Carmichael earned the win on the mound.

Evergreen Park 13, T.F. North 1: Kevin Schwer and Kyle Bock both went 2-for-3 with a home run for Evergreen Park (11-11, 7-6 South Suburban Red).

Fenwick 12, Hales 0: Tyler Sewall tossed a one-hitter and fanned eight for the Friars (13-10).

Glenbrook South 11, Waukegan 1: Luke Harrison (6-0) struck out nine in five innings and went 4-for-4 with a home run and three RBI at the plate for Glenbrook South (18-5, 9-1 Central Suburban South).

Herscher 14, Wilmington 4: Jeff Bruer belted a pair of homers and knocked in four runs for Herscher (21-2). Justin Ruckman (4-1) gave up two hits and fanned seven in 5 1/3 innings.

Holy Trinity 11, Cristo Rey 1: Ivan Silva dominated offensively with two home runs and seven RBI for Holy Trinity (11-4, 7-0 Chicago Prep).

Jones 12, Kenwood 6: Danny Corral knocked in four runs for Jones (12-9, 6-5 Jackie Robinson South).

Julian 8, Vocational 7: Vernell Pondexter (4-for-4, three RBI) and Robin Pondexter (3-for-4, three RBI) powered the Jaguars (6-5) to victory.

Kelly 19, Juarez 17: Juvi Albor earned the win and went 3-for-3 with two home runs as Kelly (9-6) outslugged Juarez.

King 8, Hubbard 7: Winning pitcher Stacy Embry went the distance, giving up only three hits and striking out 11 batters. Kevin White knocked in four runs for the Jaguars (9-5, 6-2 Ernie Banks).

Lake Zurich 13, Carmel 6: Eddie Szarkowicz earned the win for the Bears.

Libertyville 8, Jamesville Parker (Wisc.) 2: AJ Schurr had a home run and four RBI for Libertyville (13-8). Evan Skoug added a triple, double and two RBI while Nick Coutre hit two doubles. Kyle Scibrario picked up the win on the mound.

Lincoln-Way Central 13, Lockport 8: Grey Wymer (4-for-4, two RBI) and David Rico (3-for-3, HR, four RBI) led Lincoln-Way Central (12-10-1) past the Porters.

Lincoln-Way North 15, Andrew 2: Alex Eaton and Jack Irace each hit a home run for Lincoln-Way North (18-3, 8-1 SouthWest Suburban Red).

Marian Central 11, Wheaton Academy 7: Joey Klinger (3-0) gave up seven runs and seven hits and fanned five for Marian Central (11-4).

Marmion 8, Aurora Central 3: Chris Simon (2-2) gave up two runs and struck out three in six innings for Marmion (14-5). Mike Pipp went 3-for-3 with three RBI and Mitch Sterne went 2-for-4 with three RBI for the Cadets.

Minooka 17, Romeoville 0: Todd Hoffart allowed one hit and struck out nine over five innings for Minooka (16-2-1).

Oswego East 15, Plainfield East 5: Paxon Jungels went 3-for-4 and Mike Cherven went 2-for-4 for Oswego East (7-14). David Schurr notched his first win this season fanning six over five innings.

Perspectives-Calumet 9, Bowen 5: Robert Robinson earned the win allowing four hits and striking out six in four innings. Eujean Johnson went 2-for-4 with three RBI and Steven Colyer had two doubles and three RBI for Perspectives-Calumet (10-4, 9-0 Carlton Fisk).

Reavis 14, Hillcrest 4: Mike Sliwinski had a double and drove in two runs for Reavis (11-10). Brandon Hines earned the win for the Rams.

Rich East 7, Rich Central 6, 8 inn.: Erik Otterson dominated Rich Central on the mound and at the plate. Otterson pitched 7 2/3 innings and struck out 14 while also finishing 4-for-4 with a pair of homers and four RBI, including the game-winner. Herbert Davis went 2-for-4 with a double for Rich East (7-6, 6-4 Southland).

Ridgewood 17, Timothy Christian 3: Anthony Mroz belted a homer and knocked in three runs as the Rebels (9-10) rolled in the Metro Suburban. Billy Balesos was the winning pitcher.

Riverside-Brookfield 8, Gordon Tech 5: TJ Bongiorno hit a two-run home run for the Bulldogs (13-8-1) in nonconference action. Chris James notched the win.

St. Joseph 9, St. Francis de Sales 2: Justin Blue turned in a complete-game performance allowing two hits with five punchouts for the Chargers (12-13, 6-8 Catholic White). Eric Ramirez went 3-for-3 with a double at the plate.

Stagg 11, Thornridge 1: Sean Dwyer fanned five batters in five innings to pick up the win. Kyle Belluomini blasted a three-run homer for Stagg (7-11, 4-4 SouthWest Suburban Red).

Streamwood 3, Larkin 2: Dalton Lundeen scattered five hits and struck out 12 in a complete-game effort for Streamwood (19-2, 13-2 Upstate Eight River). Alex Morrow contributed a home run.

Taft 18, Payton 13: Ray Cekus led Taft (10-4) with five hits, three RBI and two runs. Mike Shewchuk hit a pair of doubles and drove in four runs.

T.F. South 16, Eisenhower 6: Kyle Janowski went 2-for-3 with three RBI and two runs for T.F. South (12-9, 10-4 South Suburban Blue).

Walther Lutheran 11, St. Edward 5: Anthony Garland picked up the win for Walther Lutheran (8-11, 4-8 Suburban Christian). Chris Stevens had two hits and three RBI.

Warren 10, Mundelein 7: Kevin Colburn (2-for-4) cranked a home run and knocked in five runs for Warren.

Waubonsie Valley 9, Bartlett 7: Kyle Limanowski went 3-for-4 with two homers and four RBI for Waubonsie Valley (10-11, 9-7 Upstate Eight). Mitch Stefani finished 3-for-4 with a double and three RBI at the plate.

Wheaton North 4, Naperville Central 2: Andrew Mamlic scattered five hits and struck out seven for the Falcons (14-8). Micah Penn added a two-run home run.
