Mundelein 10, Crystal Lake Central 0: No. 1 Mundelein (16-0) rolled to victory as Charlie Gandolfi (3-for-3, two RBI), Chris Maranto (2-for-3, double) and DJ Lewis (2-for-2) powered the offense. Ben Mahar (7-0) threw five innings and gave up three hits.
Providence 12, St. Rita 8: Casey Papp hit a three run home run while Joe Houlihan (three RBI) and Sam Travis (RBI, two runs scored) also hit round-trippers for the No. 2 Celtics (16-1, 6-1 Catholic Blue).
St. Laurence 12, Mount Carmel 2: No. 5 St. Laurence (18-4, 4-1 Catholic Blue) rolled past the Caravan as Kevin Smith belted a grand slam, Mike Chimera hit a three-run homer and Kyle Wood added a two-run shot.
Addison Trail 9, Morton 5: Greg Schultz allowed five runs and six hits while striking out seven for the Blazers (7-9, 3-6 West Suburban Gold). Anthony Catanese chipped in a double and three RBI.
Bremen 14, Evergreen Park 11: Winning pitcher Chris Reeves (3-for-5, two-run homer) and Jim Miller (3-for-5, four RBI) paced Bremen (14-5, 6-1 South Suburban Blue).
Corliss 14, Julian 7: Dantrell Meekins (4-1) struck out nine over five innings for Corliss (11-8, 4-2 Minnie Minoso). Robert Johnson belted a home run and drove in three runs.
Fenwick 11, Seton 1: Tyler Sewall had three hits and two RBI while Quinn Collins added two doubles driving in two runs for the Friars (8-8). Winning pitcher Jack McGann (2-2) tossed a three-hitter and struck out six.
Glenbrook North 15, Niles North 2: Jason Scholl hit a grand slam and scored three runs for Glenbrook North (16-1). Henry Erickson (3-0) gave up three hits and struck out four to pick up the win.
Jacobs 5, Johnsburg 0: Brett Kale (2-2) worked six innings, allowing three hits and recording seven punchouts for Jacobs. Kale also knocked in two runs.
Lake View 8, Lane 7: Brian Sanchez went 3-for-4 with two RBI while Marion Cantu slapped a pair of doubles for Lake View (10-10, 5-1) in the Jackie Robinson North. Adam Rivera was the winning pitcher.
Leyden 15, Proviso East 3: Starter Angel Sanchez (4-0) remained unbeaten for the Eagles. Eric Palmer (three RBI) and Javier Perez both finished 2-for-3.
Lincoln-Way North 18, Thornwood 0: Jake Harper picked up the win with 10 strikeouts over four innings. Jack Troike went 3-for-4 and AJ Neufeld added a homer.
Loyola 20, Bishop McNamara 0: Willy Palivos finished 5-for-5 scoring five times and driving in three for the Ramblers. Eric Hagman provided power with two homers and five RBI.
Manteno 12, Peotone 0: J.J. Witherow had two RBI and four steals for Manteno.
Marian Cenrtal 10, St. Edward 0: Mitch Ennis had three hits, three RBI and scored a run while Lincoln Herendeen added two hits and drove in three runs for Marian Central (8-3, 4-2 Suburban Christian Blue). Ian Maxiener (3-2) pitched five scoreless innings giving up two hits and fanning seven hitters.
New Trier 8, Glenbrook South 2: Eric West hit a three-run homer and drove in five runs while Josh Perlmutter added a two-run blast for the Trevians (12-4, 4-1 Central Suburban South). Nick Hedge (4-0) scattered four hits and struck out eight in four innings.
Riverside-Brookfield 4, Illiana Christian 3: David Skowronski hit a key two-run homer as Riverside-Brookfield (11-7-1, 7-4 Metro Suburban) edged the defending conference champion Vikings. JT Evans earned the win for RB.
St. Ignatius 16, St. Francis de Sales 5: Connor Coughlan (2-0) yielded a run and registered six strikeouts over four innings of work.
St. Joseph 16, Leo 1: Justin Blue threw four scoreless innings allowing one hit and went 2-for-2 with a doubel and three RBI for the Chargers.
Waubonsie Valley 10, East Aurora 1: Joey Cuzzone was dominant on the mount with 10 strikeouts over six innings. Eric Josupait paced the offense with a pair of hits and three RBI.
