Nazareth 7, Belleville East 1: Ryan Powers (1-0) fanned seven in the complete-game win for No. 3 Nazareth (7-0). He also went 2-for-3 with two homers and two RBI. Justin Gonzales went 1-for-3 with two doubles and an RBI.

Ag. Science 19, Lindblom 4: Manny Estrada drove in four runs for Ag. Science (2-4).

Belvidere North 9, Lisle 1: Carl Rapp went 2-for-3 with a homer and five RBI for Belvidere North. Tony Damore went 2-for-3 with a homer and two runs. Sam Kemp went 1-for-4 with a homer. Josh Rayphole fanned five and was the winning pitcher.

Crete-Monee 10, Tinley Park 8: On the mound, Mitch Hamilton (1-0) picked up the win and Mike Jamison recorded the save. Jamison also belted a three-run homer. Tirone Rogers had a double and an RBI.

Evergreen Park 7, Morgan Park 2, 6 inn.: Matt Deal (1-0) allowed three hits and struck out eight for the Evergreen Park (2-2) win. Josh Venhuizen went 2-for-3 with a homer and three RBI.

Glenbrook North 9, Smith Cotton (Mo.) 1: Tyler Hurst went 2-for-3 and Eric Anderson went 2-for-2. Brett Synek went 1-for-1 with a double and RBI. Jason Pomeroy was the winning pitcher.

Glenbrook South 5, Dundee-Crown 4: Ryan Brander (1-0) allowed one run and struck out three in the win for Glenbrook South (4-0).

Herscher 15, Cisna Park 4: Ben Wenzelman (1-0) allowed one hit and struck out five for Herscher (7-1).

St. Ignatius 8, Lincoln Park 7: Evan McHugh (1-0) was the winning pitcher for St. Ignatius (6-1).

Joliet Catholic 4, Plainfield South 3: Kyle Cunningham hit the game-winning two-run homer for Joliet Catholic (2-1). Alex Voitik had an RBI and Nate Searing was the winning pitcher.

Lockport 8, Joliet Central 5: Winning pitcher Bobby Wilmsen (1-0) gave up only one hit and struck out four for Lockport (4-0). Matt Skrzypiec went 2-for-4 with a double, RBI and a stolen base. Josh Altmann went 2-for-3 with an RBI. Ted Snidanko went 2-for-3 with a triple and Tommy Hook went 2-for-3 with a double, two runs and a stolen base.
