Brandon Hines allowed no runs over two innings of relief and struck out two to earn the win. David Beltran finished 2-for-3 with a double.
Mount Carmel 12, Lake View 2: Tom Hayes powered the No. 9 Caravan (6-0) with a two-run homer and four RBI. Connor Laurish also hit a two-run shot. Jack McKenna (1-0) allowed three hits and struck out seven in four innings to earn the win. Josh Gaul had a double.
Oak Park-River Forest 10, Flagler Coast (Fla.) 9: PJ Brennan finished 2-for-4 with two homers and four RBI to power No. 13 Oak Park-River Forest.
Sandburg 7, Andrew 3: The No. 15 Eagles (2-1) were led by Eric Chmielewski (1-0), who allowed two runs on three hits with four strikeouts to earn the win. Brant Valach had two doubles and two RBI. Tyler Witek also drove in two.
Aurora Christian 8, East Aurora 1: Kenny McCracken (1-0) allowed one run on two hits while striking out seven to earn the win for Aurora Christian (3-2). Josh Haugen had a double, drove in one and scored twice. Jake Hanson finished 2-for-5 with a run. Austin Penn homered.
