St. Rita 9, St. Charles East 3: Stefano Delmonte powered No. 4 St. Rita going 3-for-4 with a homer. T.J. Verdon went 2-for-4 with two RBI. Scott Thomas (2-0) allowed six hits and struck out five for the win.

Mount Carmel 8, Evergreen Park 2: Winning pitcher Frank Kelly (1-0) tossed a no hitter and struck out five for No. 9 Mount Carmel (5-0). Jerry Houston went 2-for-5 with a triple and two RBI. Jeff Boehm went 2-for-4 with a double and three RBI. Jason Gasser went 2-for-3 with two doubles and an RBI.

Lyons 1, Sandburg 0: Mike Pett drilled the game-winning homer for No. 10 Lyons (2-0). Jack Peth (1-0) was the winning pitcher.

Stevenson 14, Palatine 7: Michael Martin went 4-for-4 with four runs to lead No. 16 Stevenson (1-0). Barry Saks and Adam Walton went 2-for-4 with three RBI each. Isaac Greenspon struck out six for the win.

Addison Trail 4, Limestone 2: Anthony Kalbas went 2-for-3 with three RBI for Addison Trail (1-1).

Andrew 9, T.F. South 3: Winning pitcher Marcus Radz allowed six hits and struck out four in the win for Andrew (4-2).

Bremen 11-10, Thornridge 1-2: Vince Janotta (1-1) pitched a complete game for the win in Game 1. He also went 3-for-5 from the plate with two homers and six RBI. In Game 2 Joe Lyons (1-1) fanned six in four innings for the win and Sherman Carter belted a three-run homer.

Buffalo Grove 13, Dundee-Crown 2: Tommy Ricciardi went 4-for-4 with a double and four RBI for Buffalo Grove (3-2).

Geneva 2, Aurora Christian 0: Matt Williams fanned 15 in the complete-game win for Geneva. Eric Melin went 1-for-2 with a homer.

Glenbard North 4, Schaumburg 0: Andrew Bergman allowed one hit and struck out nine in the complete-game win.

Glenbard South 7, New Trier 6, 8 inn.: Winning pitcher Billy Strohl pitched a complete game for Glenbard South (3-2).
