Brooks 13, Washington 7: Taryvond Crockett notched the win on the mound, while James Jones clubbed a two-run triple for the Eagles (1-0).

Jones 8, Lincoln Park 1: Joe Casa threw four innings of one-run ball to help Jones (1-0) to the win.

Mather 6. Niles North 4: Rashaan Fox went 2-for-3 with a two-run homer for Mather (1-0).

Simeon 11, Corliss 0: Robert Fletcher smacked a two-run triple, while Quentin Richardson hit a three-run double to power the Simeon offense.

Schurz 14, Steinmetz 1: Geo Ocevado threw three perfect innings on the bump to earn the win and also went 2-for-4 with two RBI. Josh Dickens and Johny Salazar each added three RBI in the win.

Von Steuben 13, Curie 3: Andres Montenegro went 2-for-3 with four RBI, while Joe Plaud picked up the win on the mound and added a three-run double for the Panthers (1-0).

Warren 8, Carmel 0: Ryan Kennedy struck out seven in his four-plus innings on the mound for the Blue Devils (1-0).
