Bishop McNamara 14, Watseka 2: Max Hanna went 1-2, belting a three run-homer and walking three times. Coron Smith went 1-for-2 with a two-run homer and two walks. Jordan Bradford struck out five and allowed three hits in six innings for Bishop McNamara (1-0).

Brooks 8, Hubbard 0: Johnathan Pelayo fanned 11 as he tossed a complete-game win for Brooks (3-0). Greg King went 1-for-3 with two RBI and two runs.

Fenwick 10, Payton 0: Joe Patzelt went 3-for-3 with two RBI. Winning pitcher Jack McGann allowed zero hits and struck out five in three innnings for Fenwick (1-0).

Glenbard South 11, Marmion 3: Brian Suffern allowed two hits, three walks and fanned two in the win for Glenbard South (1-0). Mitch Gasbarro went 3-for-4 with three RBI. Carl Sanders went 3-for-4 with a triple, double, and three RBI.

Kelly 11, Bogan 2: Juvi Albor struck out eight in the win for Kelly (2-0). Marco Vatrez went 3-for-3 with three RBI.

Montini 13, St. Benedict 1: Jared Jayne went 3-for-4 with a homer, triple, double and five RBI. Ben Dobosenski tossed a one hitter, and struck out four in the win for Montini (2-0).

Niles West 15, Wheeling 2: Nick Wheeler (1-0) allowed three hits and one walk in five innings. He also fanned three in the win for Niles West (1-0). Kyle Colletta went 2-for-3 with an RBI and two runs. Kevin Ross went 1-for-2 with a triple and two runs. Jason Meger went 2-for-3 wit two runs.

Peotone 22, Iroquois West 0: Matt Borens belted three doubles and drove in eight runs. John Swisher picked up the win for Peotone (1-0), striking out 10 and allowing only two hits.

Reavis 9, Morton 6: Matt Javorski went 2-for-5 with a double and two RBI for Reavis (2-0). Zack Mackowiak allowed six hits and two earned runs in 5 1/3 innings.

St. Laurence 4, St. Paul (Md.) 3: Mike Chimera drove in the game-winning run for St. Laurence (2-0). Brian Villanova went 2-for-3 with a double and RBI.

Schurz 7, Amundsen 2: Winning pitcher Johnny Salazar struck out three in the win for Schurz (2-0). Josh Dickens and Ribelino Boyas drove in two runs each.

Vernon Hills 7, Northridge 1: Winning pitcher Jordan Levine (1-0) allowed one earned run, one hit, three walks and struck out four. Tyler Coppney homered and hit a triple.

Von Steuben 7, Holy Trinity 6: Jacob Pagan went 2-for-3 with a double and three RBI.

Washington 11, Bowen 1: Marco Arias went 3-for-3 with a triple, double, RBI and three runs. Alex Reyes was the winning pitcher. He struck out five in three innings for Washington (1-1).

Young 13, Juarez 3: Eugene Tabb picked up the win for Young (1-0), striking out three and allowing three walks in two innings pitched. Tim Sonnefeldt went 3-for-3 with a double and five RBI.
