Evanston 10, Prairie Ridge 2: Kenny Horwat went 3-for-4 with two RBI for Evanston (1-0). Jordan Crawford gave up zero earned runs in four innings for the win.

Harlan 14-14, Marshall 2-2: Tyler Johnson went 3-for-4 with four RBI and two stolen bases in Game 1. In Game 2, Christian Bland went 3-for-4 with a triple, two doubles, three RBI and three runs. Johnson went 2-for-3 with three runs.

Herscher 10-10, Crete-Monee 0-0: In Game 1 Jordan Ruckman struck out six and went 1-for-2 with a three-run homer.

Jones 6, Ag. Science 0: Winning pitcher Matt Sax fanned eight and allowed two hits in six innings pitched for Jones (2-0). Martin Lara went 2-for-2 with two RBI and three runs.

Leyden 4, Palatine 3: John Marino drove in the game-winning RBI. Winning pitcher Justin Stawychny struck out nine in three innings.

Libertyville 2, Hoffman Estates 1: Darwin Townsend was the winning pitcher and AJ Schurr had two doubles.

Lincoln-Way North 4, Brother Rice 2: Carter Bialka drove in the game-winning RBI. Joe Cairo (1-0) picked up the win for Lincoln-Way North (1-0) and Jake Harper struck out eight in four innings.

Maine East 6, Luther North 0: Tylor Glowacki allowed only one hit in four innings for Maine East (1-0). Phil Papaiaoannou went 1-for-3 with one RBI.

Mount Carmel 10, Riverside-Brookfield 0: John Kravetz allowed four hits and struck out four in the complete-game win for Mount Carmel (1-0).

Nazareth 10-12, St. Edward 1-1: Dominic Purpura (1-0) picked up the win in Game 1, striking out six. In Game 2, Ed Gengo fanned five for the win.

St. Francis 5, IMSA 0: Tom Ameche went 1-for-3 with one RBI, two runs and three stolen bases. Eric Bacon (1-0) struck out five and allowed three hits in five innings for St. Francis (1-0).

St. Joseph 12, Holy Trinity 2: Trayvon Johnson had a grand slam and six RBI. Danny Baron had one grand slam.

St. Laurence 12, Ensworth 2 (Tenn.): Mike Chimera went 3-for-4 with three RBI for St. Laurence (3-0). Brandon Mallder went 2-for-4 with an RBI and two runs.

St. Rita 9, Oak Lawn 0: Winning pitcher Richie Matyas (1-0) allowed four hits, a walk and struck out six. Brian Sicher went 2-for-2 with an RBI and three runs. Joe Filomeno went 2-for-3 with a double and RBI. Jake Thome finished 1-for-4 with three RBI.

Simeon 21, Thornwood 1: Shane Brown went 2-for-3 with a two-run homer and four RBI from the plate. He also picked up the win on the mound allowing zero hits and fanning seven. Corey Ray went 4-for-4 with a three-run triple and five RBI.

Wauconda 11, Marengo 1: Jeremy Wagner struck out ten in four innings for Wauconda (1-0). Jake Ziolkowski belted a three-run homer.
