Young's runs prove too much for Austin

This one was never in doubt.
No. 6 Young used defensive pressure and slam dunks to roll over the visiting Tigers 66-21 in a Red-West showdown.
The Dolphins (9-3, 2-0) didn't need to do much in the second half after they built a 47-7 lead going into halftime. The first half was filled with Young scoring streaks that went unmatched. Austin was smacked with runs of 13-0, 17-0 and 14-0 in the first 16 minutes.
"We definitely got them feeling overmatched early," said Young coach Tyrone Slaughter. "We can be a very good defensive team when we get everything clicking."
Everything was certainly clicking Tuesday as the Dolphins forced Austin (9-5, 0-3) into 21 first-half turnovers.
Jahlil Okafor led Young with 16 points and Thomas Hamilton added 12 more. Ohio State-bound Sam Thompson played minimally and only scored two points.
"He didn't try to score," Slaughter said. "It really wasn't something he was interested in doing today. He was more focused on getting other people involved."
And that's exactly what Thompson did when he threw a beautiful alley-oop to Luke Hager on the first play of the second half to bring the Young faithful to their feet.
Devon Williams scored 12 of his 14 points in the second half to lead Austin.
