York d. Glenbrook South 17-25, 25-21, 25-21: Steve Ogdon had five of his team-high 10 kills in the second set to spark a rally for York in a 17-25, 25-21, 25-21 victory at Glenbrook South Tuesday night in the season opener for both teams.

The Dukes fell behind 13-4 in the first set, but turned things around behind Ogdon, Joe Ruprecht (seven kills) and Marty Weith (four kills). York broke a 21-21 tie in the third set, ending the match with a Weith kill, a fluke point, a block by Ruprecht and then a net call against the Titans to end the match.

York took a 23-21 lead when Sean Davis dug out a Glenbrook South kill attempt, sending the ball over the net which bounced off Titans libero Taylor Neuffer near the sideline.

"We came out with a lot of jitters," Ogdon said. "Obviously, we were down 10 points in the first game. We made some lineup changes for the second game. We really believed we could win."

Matt Condon led Glenbrook South with 16 kills while Alex Goslin added six kills and C.J. Berg had five. Greg Manos finished with 28 assists.
