York 19, Oak Park 0: York clinched a playoff spot by holding the Huskies (3-6, 1-5 West Suburban Silver) to 92 yards of offense and sacking quarterback Elliot Davidson seven times.
York’s offense was led by Mike DeBernardis, who rushed for 98 yards on 11 carries. DeBernardis’ 43-yard touchdown run put York (6-3, 4-2) ahead 7-0 with 9:26 to go in the first half.
Tom Judge completed 10 of 18 passes for 134 yards for the Dukes, including a 12-yard touchdown pass to Zach Pruess.
York gained 290 yards as they beat Oak Park for the 10th straight time.
Oak Park’s missed their only scoring chance when Kevin Schwartz’s 37-yard field goal try at the end of the first half came up short.
