Leonard Panion ran for three touchdowns and threw for another behind a second straight stellar performance by the Niles West offensive line Friday night as the Wolves drilled Waukegan 41-12 in a Central Suburban League South division game in Skokie.
Panion racked up 142 yards on 19 carries - and had TD runs of 4, 3 and 41 yards - and also tossed a halfback option TD pass covering six yards to Chris Wright as the Wolves improved to 3-5 on the season and 2-2 in league play.
West's defense sacked Waukegan quarterback MarQuezie Edmonds five times - twice each by Chris Nodarse and Dimitri Tripkos - as the Bulldogs sank deeper into the league basement, winless at 0-4 and 2-6 overall.
Edmonds did complete 20-of-32 passes for 206 yards and also caught a 39-yard touchdown pass from backup quarterback Burke Morrill.
