Walther Lutheran senior running back Andre Cooper scored three touchdowns in

a 46-0 win over Guerin Prep in a Suburban Christian Conference crossover on

Saturday in Melrose Park.

Cooper (seven carries, 147 yards) had touchdown runs of 25 and 54 yards in the

first half as the Broncos (3-5) led 32-0 at halftime.

"It was huge holes," Cooper said. "My pulling guard Wesley Adams did a great

job blocking. I saw the holes and looked for the end zone. It helped a lot

not to fall behind like we did the last two games."

Sydney Arnold returned an interception 26 yards for a touchdown in the first

half.

Sean Cotton threw one TD pass of 36 yards to Tyreese Russell. Cotton caught

a 17-yard pass for a touchdown from Anthony Garland.

The final score for Cooper came on the first play of the third quarter with

a 55-yard run.

Arnold had a second touchdown on a four-yard run to close out the scoring.

"We had no answer for that speed," Guerin coach Tony Pecoraro said.

Justin Williams had 73 yards on 17 carries.
