PROVISO WEST

T.F. North 44, Von Steuben 21: No. 17 T.F. North bounced back from its first loss of the season as Von

Steuben established a few futility records during the

consolation bracket quarterfinals at the 50th annual Proviso West

Holiday tournament.

The Meteors allowed only two points each in the first and

second quarters as Von Steuben set a record for fewest points in a

half. T.F. North advances to the consolation semifinals

against 18th-ranked Glenbrook North (9-1) at 11 a.m. Wednesday.

lowest combined points by two teams. Two previous games ended in a

combined 65 points: Glenbrook North (36) and Morgan Park (29) in 2006

and Evanston (33) and St. Patrick (32) in 2007.

Sylvester Tolliver led the Meteors with 13 points and five rebounds.

Delaney Jalen scored 10 points for the Panthers, who shot 5-of-26 from
