We know they're good students. We know they're good athletes. So breaking from tradition - and taking a cue from Facebook - the SouthtownStar recently approached dozens of students and asked them to submit a list of 15 Random Things about themselves that we already didn't know.

15 Random Things

1. I read the magazine the Economist for fun.

2. When I was about 3 years old, I watched "Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory" every day.

3. I am a lifeguard at the White Water Canyon Water Park during the summer (I save lives).

4. My favorite Pop-Tarts are S'mores.

5. I am an Eagle Scout.

6. I don't eat grapefruit snacks.

7. I only eat peanut butter sandwiches (no jelly).

8. I can do a Rubik's cube in about a minute and a half.

9. I read many books for the sake of reading; currently, I'm reading "On the Road," by Jack Kerouac.

10. I tried sushi for the first time (recently).

11. I've been the sports editor of the yearbook for the past two years.

12. I'm ranked fourth in my class.

13. I scored my first high school career goal last soccer season.

14. I was All-Conference twice in soccer and swimming.
