Oak Forest 22, Tinley Park 6: No.24 Oak Forest overcame a slow start do defeat host Tinley Park in a South Suburban Blue game.

The Bengals (7-0, 3-0) scored the only touchdown of the first half, when Steve Freeze scored on a 35-yard run with 5:05 remaining in the first quarter.

The Bengals then turned the ball over on two of their next three possessions with an interception and a fumble.

The fumble gave Tinley Park (3-4, 1-2), the ball at the Bengals' 24 with 4:34 before halftime. The Titans drove to the Bengals' 5, but defensive end Marcus Lee stopped quarterback Ryan McMahon on a fourth-and-two to end the threat.

"I had bit on the fake to the other side," Lee said. "But I saw he still had the ball, and I chased him down."

The Bengals took a 9-0 lead after three quarters on a 42-yard field goal by Mike Williams. In the fourth quarter, quarterback Jon Wolf then scored on a one-yard run and Bobby Walsh (26 carries, 152 yards) added a 16-yard touchdown run 21 seconds later.
