Ignatius tops city foe Young
St. Ignatius 27, Young 14: Backup quarterback Jack Miya (6-of-10, 82 yards) threw two touchdown passes in a 16-second span of the third quarter, lifting the Wolfpack to victory at Soldier Field. Miya’s 13-yard TD pass to Quinn Manfredini at 5:43 of the third broke a 14-14 tie. Young fumbled on the ensuing kickoff and St. Ignatius’ Patrick Carlotti recovered, setting up Miya’s 25-yard scoring pass to Matt McCareins. McCareins also caught a 12-yard TD pass from Dan Schiltz in the second quarter.
