Julian running back Jermaine Walker is making a strong statement to be rated among the top backs in the city.

Walker rushed for 255 yards and scored five touchdowns while leading the undefeated Jaguars (6-0, 3-0 Windy City Conference) past South Shore (2-4 2-1) at Gately Stadium.

Walker scored on runs of 55, 20, 33, 11 and eight yards.

"He's one of the hardest workers that you'll ever see,'' Julian coach Wesley Yates said. "He's a team player and a great leader.''

Devion Bedford scored the Jaguar's last touchdown on a four-yard run late in the fourth quarter.
