The Sting struggled last year with only one victory but that hasn’t dampened coach Brandon Morgan’s enthusiasm for this year’s squad.

``We should be very competitive this year in the CCL-Green,’’ Morgan said. ``This year’s team is senior driven and motivated.’’

Morgan will have 9 returning starters on both offense and defense. Key returning players from last year include all-conference players Toryan Smith at quarterback, Sean Martin at wide receiver and Edward Hayes on the offensive line.
