Richards offense stuffed by Boylan

Jarrell Williams got Richards off to a nearly perfect start, but even though Rockford Boylan blinked early, the Bulldogs were surely made to remember the Titans.
Boylan scored on all three second-quarter touchdowns en route to a 34-12 victory in a Class 6A, second-round playoff game Friday night at Boylan.
The Titans, playing in Class 6A for the first time, will play the winner of Saturday's Robeson/Cary-Grove game next weekend.
After returning the game's opening kick to his own 32, Williams, who is headed to Northwestern, broke loose on the first play from scrimmage and sprinted 68 yards to give the Bulldogs a 6-0 lead.
"All I've wanted to do is worry about the Bulldogs," Williams said. "Northwestern is exciting, but I wouldn't be going there without Richards football."
"Every time Jarrell touches the ball, it can be a home run," Richards' coach Tony Sheehan said. "He is a great kid and he does everything we need. If it came down to kicking a field goal, I would have him kick. We're really going to miss him"
But DeMarcus Vines took the ensuing kick back 86 yards for a touchdown that tied the game at 6 after just 30 seconds.
The second quarter was all Boylan (11-0), which outscored its opponents 500-104, as quarterback Frank Cimino scored on a one-yard run, threw a 56-yard scoring pass to Aaron Einhorn. Aided by two personal foul calls against Richards, Lamont Toney threw a seven-yard touchdown pass to Chris Miller with seconds to play for a 27-6 halftime lead.
Richards (8-3), which won the South Suburban Red, came in with a seven-game winning streak after back-to-back losses to Lemont and Lockport. But the Bulldogs were limited to 92 yards in the first half, just 24 after Williams opening burst.
The Titans took the second-half kick and drove 80 yards in just over seven minutes, scoring on a one-yard run by Einhorn for a 34-6 lead. The Bulldogs got deep in Boylan territory after a 50 yard pass from Williams to Davonta Corner. Then, Williams capped the drive with a one-yard run with 26 seconds to play in the third quarter.
The teams exchanged turnovers early in the fourth quarter with Jason Smart recovering a fumble for the Bulldogs at the Boylan 16. But on fourth-and-five, Williams' pass was incomplete.
