Proviso East edges Steinmetz

Proviso East 20, Steinmetz 14: Proviso East (8-2) won its first playoff game in 10 years as William Crowder raced 30 yards for the winning score with 8:41 to play. 

"It wasn’t a designed run, but I saw an open lane and was able to take it in," Crowder said.

Crowder also scored on a two-yard run and completed a 41-yard touchdown pass to Corey Cooper.

Steimentz (6-4) tied the score at 14 on a one-yard plunge by Chris Dotson, with 9:09 remaining. Samuel Valdavino also had a touchdown run for the Streaks.
