Plainfield South 10, Waubonsie Valley 0: Shawn Lindmark hit a three-run homer in the first inning to get the Cougars (15-21) rolling en route to the quarterfinal win in the Class 4A Naperville North Regional.
Bob Hansen added a two-run homer for Plainfield. Lindmark and Hansen both drove in three runs, while Hansen, Tom Ksiazak, Drew Turk, Tony Samchez and Chris Calderone all had two hits.
Matt Huyser pitched a five-hitter for his sixth win.
