Oak Park 14, Proviso West 7: Oak Park (3-4, 1-3 West Suburban Silver) survived a late charge by Proviso West to pull out the victory.

The Panthers recovered an onside kick at the Oak Park 46-yard line after pulling within 7 with just under two minutes to play. But they started to self-destruct three plays later on an intentional grounding penalty, which resulted in a lost down and the ball moving back 17 yards.

The Panthers compounded the problem when the center snapped the ball on the next play not knowing quarterback Teddy Sloan was looking over to the sideline. The ball was recovered by Tom Raliegh with 52.5 seconds left in the game.

The only points in the first half came on a 35-yard touchdown pass from Oak Park's Elliot Davidson to James Cole in the second quarter. Cole scored the other touchdown for the Huskies on a 36-yard run.

The Panthers cut the deficit to 7 with 2:03 to play on an eight-yard touchdown pass from Teddy Sloan to Stephan Lockhart.

Four punt attempts by Oak Park were blocked by Proviso West. But the Panthers (2-5, 0-5) had their share of mistakes as well with four interceptions and a lost fumble.
