Dale Aleman threw three touchdown passes to lead host Lemont to a 41-13 victory over Oak Forest on Friday night, capping a perfect 9-0 regular season for the Indians.

Aleman was 7-for-11 for 144 yards.

Tyler Jay caught two touchdown passes (38 and 73 yards) in the first half. Rickie Sniegowski caught Aleman’s final scoring pass, a 39-yarder.

Senior running back Mike Anzalone added 115 yards on 22 carries for the Indians (6-0 in the South Suburban Blue). That put Anzalone over 1,000 yards for the season.

“Mike runs hard and he’s tough to bring down,” Aleman said. “He’s a great player to have in our backfield.”

The Indians put together an 80-yard drive on their first possession. Anzalone and Christos Giatras took turns pounding the ball on the ground.

Oak Forest (6-3, 3-3) committed two turnovers later in the opening quarter that Lemont turned into field goals. The next time the Indians had the ball, Aleman found Jay open down the middle for a 73-yard touchdown pass and a 19-0 halftime lead.

The fourth quarter belonged to Oak Forest running back Matt Barry (17 carries, 94 yards), who led the Bengals to two late touchdown drives.

Barry ran the ball seven times for 42 yards on the Bengals’ first drive, scoring midway through the final quarter. He ran the ball six times for 47 yards in the Bengals’ final touchdown drive of 65 yards.

“Matt’s the guy,” Oak Forest coach Brian McDonough said. “He ran the ball hard. There just wasn’t much room.”
