No. 6 North Lawndale answered each time Payton made a run during its 59-49 Red-Northwest victory Thursday at Moody Bible Institute.

After the Grizzlies (19-7, 4-6) cut the deficit to 50-47 with three minutes to play, the Phoenix (20-3, 9-1) went on a 9-2 run to put the contest away.

Jonathon Mills and John Taylor finished with 15 points apiece for No. 6 North Lawndale while Zee Jones added 12.

Gian Carlos Molinaro paced Payton with 15 points while Christian Byrd (14) and Dominique Bellamy (10) also finished in double-figures.
