Niles North 13, Glenbrook North 10: Niles North overcame a 10-0 third-quarter deficit to secure its first winning season in 16 years.

Michael Dotson caught a 62-yard touchdown pass from Michael Granato late in the third quarter and Terry Turner (19 carries, 142 yards) scored from 3 yards out with 3:35 remaining to put Niles North (5-4, 3-2 Central Suburban North) ahead for good.

Glenbrook North (4-5, 3-2) drove down to the 11-yard line with 27 seconds remaining, but Jimmy Schmidt, who had earlier kicked a 30-yard field goal, slipped on the turf and missed a 28-yarder that would have sent it to overtime.

Paul Jung (24 carries, 100 yards) scored from seven yards out to put the Spartans up 10-0 midway through the third quarter.
