Munster senior Lukas Nossem has committed to play football at the University of Pennsylvania next season, while senior quarterback and punter Mark Strbjak has committed to Northern Illinois University.
Nossem was a first team All-State linebacker and a two-time all-NCC player. He will be attending the prestigious Wharton School of Business at Penn and studying business and finance.
“Penn was a perfect fit,” Nossem said in a release. “I love the location, atmosphere, and tradition. I’m looking forward to the combination of academic and athletic challenges.”
Strbjak is a three-year starter and multi-sport athlete who will punt next season for NIU.
Strbjak was a first-team punter on The Associated Press and Indiana Football Coaches Association All-State teams and was named as one of the Top 50 players in the state. He led the state in punting average this year with a 41.3 yards per kick and has broken every punting record at Munster High School during his career.
