Quarterback Adam Reuss threw for 273 yards and 4 touchdowns as Warren dominated winless Mundelein 55-20 on Friday in a North Suburban Conference Lake Division football game.

The Blue Devils are just 2-4 overall, but all four losses were to powerhouse teams, so Warren is still very much in the playoff hunt with three games remaining.

In the first half Friday, Reuss completed 9-of-17 passes for 236 yards. His two picks and a lost fumble were more than offset by three touchdown passes. He finished 10-for-20.

Mitch Munda snared two of the touchdown throws, with the plays covering 29 and 32 yards. Kyle Gregory had a TD reception on a 6-yard play and Connor Iwema scored on a 37-yard pass.

Warren also scored in the first half on field goals of 47 and 35 yards by Patrick Kenney, and on a 57-yard punt return by Connor Iwema. They also had 1-yard touchdown run in the third quarter by Jay Malone.

Iwema finished the game with 3 catches for 109 yards, 1 receiving touchdown and 1 punt return for a touchdown.

Mundelein’s two first-half scores came on a 43-yard return by Cole Hinchman on Reuss’ fumble and on a 45-yard run by L.D. Frison.

Frison finished the game with 59 yards on 6 rushes.

Warren’s Willcox carried 10 times for 111 yards.

Next Thursday, Warren faces a tough challenge when it plays at Lake Forest.
