Morgan Park defensive end Craig Drummond is Mississippi-bound, apparently as soon as this week.
A family adviser for the former Illinois commitment -- rated the nationıs No. 7 defensive end prospect by Rivals.com -- told RebelSports.net on Sunday night that Drummond had committed to Ole Miss after a weekend visit and will be enrolling as early as today.
Drummond already graduated from Morgan Park, and his desire to enroll in college early and take part in spring practice was said to be a decisive factor in his decommitting from Illinois last week. He had planned to visit Michigan State early this week before making a decision, but adviser E.J. Jones said Drummond wonıt make that trip.
The 6-5, 260-pound Drummond missed his senior season because of a broken leg, but recovered in time to play in the U.S. Army All-American Game this month in San Antonio.
Drummond told RebelSports.net that his host at Ole Miss, defensive end Kentrell Lockett, "told me Iıd get playing time and Iıd get on the field. He said the coaches keep their word."
