Preview: Minooka/Morris
Minooka at Morris
Kickoff: 7:30 p.m. Friday
The rundown: The idea will be to arrive early because this match-up figures to attract an overflow crowd. The Grundy County rivals last met in 2008 at Morris, when the Redskins scored an 8-0 victory. Of course, back then the two were in the same conference. Morris reached the playoffs a year ago, thanks in no small part to QB Austin Feeney, who returns for his senior season. Minooka is coming off a season in which the Indians shared the Southwest Prairie title with Plainfield South and Plainfield North, advanced to the quarterfinal round of the playoffs and very nearly went further than that. RB Kalvin Hill projects as one of the area’s best. A standout wrestler, he rushed for 1,289 yards in 2010.
