The homecoming crowd stormed the field while others gave the hosts a standing ovation after an impressive 28-19 FVC crossover victory over McHenry that moved the Raiders to 3-0 for the first time since 2001.
Huntley senior Jordan Neukirch rushed for 146 yards on 30 carries, scoring two touchdowns in the second half as he led the team back from a 19-14 halftime deficit.
The two-way standout has seven touchdowns on the season and has run for more than 140 yards in all three contests.
Senior David Conrad churned out 128 yards on 10 carries through the muck, including a 65-yard score on the third play of the game. Junior Tanner Stearns (8 rushes, 55 yards, TD) added a 20-yard touchdown run for the Raiders.
Junior Dana Kohn led McHenry (1-2) with 138 yards and two touchdowns on 14 carries, but Huntley out-gained the Warriors 378-145 on the ground.
