FIRST TEAM

Infield

Kyle Davidson,

Kaneland — Millikin-bound senior was an all-Northern Illinois Big 12 selection. A slick fielder who made no errors at shortstop, hit .306 overall and .364 with runners in scoring position. Also went 3-1 with 5 saves.

Ryan Harreld,

Aurora Central Catholic — Senior hit .385 with three homers and 23 RBI. Was an all-Suburban Christian Conference selection.

Cody Burton,

Oswego East — The Wolves team MVP and all-Southwest Prairie pick hit .384 and slugged .500 while stealing 25 bases. Will play at Aurora University.

Richie Renner,

West Aurora — Junior was an all-DuPage Valley Conference pick after hitting .329 with a .536 OBP. Scored 19 runs.

Matt Williams,

Geneva — Junior was an all-Upstate Eight River pick. Hit .348 with 12 homers and 29 RBI. Went 4-2 on the mound with a 2.47 ERA.

Outfield

Joe Camiliere,

Kaneland — Senior hit .326 as an all-Northern Illinois Big 12 pick while reaching base 50 percent of the time. Made just two errors in center field.

Luke Luchetti,

Yorkville — Senior hit .395 with 7 homers and 13 extra-base hits. Stole 18 bases and drove in 25 from the leadoff spot. Will play at Illinois Central College.

Chris Hipchen,

Geneva — Hit .356 with four homers and 21 RBI and was the Vikings’ team MVP and gold glove winner in center field.

Catcher

Kyle Kozak,

Marmion Academy — Junior backstop hit .434 and drove in 23 while reaching base at a .545 clip.

Designated Hitter

Kyle Limanowski,

Waubonsie Valley — The All-Upstate Eight Valley pick hit a school-record 10 home runs and slugged at an .808 clip. Hit .395 with 34 RBI and 12 doubles.

Pitchers

Bobby Kuntzendorf,

Aurora Christian — The Beacon-News Player of the Year and Suburban Christian Conference Gold co-Player of the Year went 9-1 with a save and a 1.26 ERA. Struck out 126 in 77⅔ innings.

Tim Tarter,

Marmion Academy — UIC recruit set school record with a 10-0 mark and an 0.67 ERA. SCC Blue MVP allowed just a .144 average against.

Bobby Thorson,

Kaneland — The Northern Illinois Big 12 MVP went 7-3 with a save while striking out 76 with an ERA of 0.83.

Neel Patel,

IMSA — Senior went 4-4 and posted a 2.50 ERA. Struck out 62 and allowed just 24 hits in 32 innings.

Michael Rutas,

Batavia — All-Upstate Eight River pick and team MVP tossed a no-hitter against Streamwood. Posted a 5-4 record and 2.52 ERA while striking out 71.

Tyler Friel,

Marmion Academy — Senior went 3-4 with a 0.97 WHIP and .198 average against with a 2.30 ERA.

Indian Creek — All-Little Ten pick hit .411 and stole 20 bases while driving in 27.

Joe Hughes,

Newark — Unanimous all-Little Ten selection as a sophomore, hit .568 with 12 RBI, 22 runs scored and 15 steals in conference play.

Alex Ramirez,

Plano — Team MVP and all-Interstate Eight pick set a school record for homers with 13 and RBI with 53. Hit. 362 and slugged .759 while setting school records for grand slams in a season (2) and went over 100 career RBI.

Outfield

Brent Minta,

Aurora Christian — All-SCC Gold selection and Taylor University recruit hit .397 while slugging .621. Drove in 42 with 20 extra-base hits.

Brandon Kramer,

Somonauk — Hit .362 with 29 RBI with five homers. Slugged .634 and was an all-Little Ten Conference pick. Also went 6-2 on the mound with a 2.44 ERA.

Bobby Kuntzendorf,

Aurora Christian — Hit .381 and tied for team lead with eight homers while driving in 37. Slugged .711 and scored 30 runs.

Catcher

Jake Hanson,

Aurora Christian — All-SCC Gold selection hit .394 and reached base at .441 clip in the leadoff spot. Had 19 extra-base hits and drove in 29.

Designated hitter

Trent Bowers,

Plano — Slugged .804 while hitting .413 with nine HR and 44 RBI. All-Interstate Eight Conference pick also hit two grand slams.

Pitchers

Somonauk — All Little-Ten pick went 8-3 with a 2.40 ERA while only walking three in over 78 innings.

Cory Bradburn,

Hinckley-Big Rock — Went 6-2 and struck out 41 in 42 innings while posting a 2.15 ERA.

Kyle Doney,

Plano — Went 4-1 with a save while posting a 2.89 ERA. Struck out 55 and limited opponents to .205 average.
