Marist scored two rushing touchdowns on Saturday, but the RedHawks air attack did most of the damage during a 21-14 East Suburban Catholic Conference victory in La Grange Park.

Luke Oosterbaan completed 22-of-26 pass attempts for 242 yards, including an 11-yard scoring strike to John Caraher, as Marist (4-2, 2-1) never trailed after opening a 14-0 lead. Caraher caught four passes for 73 yards, while Alex Puhar pulled down eight grabs for 88 yards.

Nazareth (2-4, 0-4) did not score until the fourth quarter, but managed to cut the lead to seven points on two occasions, but could not recover two onside kick attempts to complete the comeback bid.

Matt Behrendt capped a 17-play drive with a one-yard touchdown run midway through the final period, and the Roadrunners also scored on a three-yard run by Kevin Curtin with just under two minutes left.

Ryan Meyer and Michael Skalitzky added scoring runs for the RedHawks, while McKinley Moore led all rushers with 89 yards on 21 carries.
